A protein drink which actually tastes fresh
I usually struggle with the artificial, cloying taste of most protein supplements. Even “clean” brands often leave that aftertaste or an overly sweet syrup feel so I was hesitant to try Tropeaka’s Apple Protein Water.
Out of the box, mixed as recommended, it’s surprisingly good – crisp, with a real green apple bite rather than a candy flavour. But here’s where it becomes truly refreshing: I found that adding more water than the instructions say, shaking it with ice and then topping the glass with a splash of sparkling water completely transforms it.
The extra dilution removes any lingering protein “weight” on the tongue, and the bubbles lift the apple essence into something closer to a sophisticated sparkling apple tea than a sports drink. It’s light, zesty, and genuinely hydrating – not something I ever thought I’d say about a protein supplement.
If you are sensitive to heavy or fake-tasting proteins, don’t judge this one straight out of the shaker. Give it the sparkling water hack. It turns Tropeaka Apple into the freshest-tasting protein option I’ve found to date.
